Red Dun Overo Mare owned by Shannon

This mare was sold to Shannon as a red dun overo.  She found a distinct dorsal stripe and recently, after consulting with the dungenes@egroups.com list, found barring on her upper leg and ear markings. But she wonders why the white crosses her back if she is an overo.
