This is what the AQHA lost by refusing to register him.
The decision is based on his blue eyes and pinkish skin.
His only truly pink skin is under his white markings, as with all horses.

blue-eyed-paradise.jpg (34564 bytes)Blue Eyed Paradise, owned by Natalie Nelson, is the son of two AQHA registered horses, but not registerable himself, because of prejudice against his skin and eye color.  Photo is at age 2. He must have received a cream gene from each of his parents in order to be this cremello color - and they did, indeed, each have one: they are buckskins, "bays with one cream gene." He has mottled skin around his eyes and on his muzzle, and blue eyes!
